Happy three months of being in our family Charlotte! You've been super busy this month! Here you are on your three month birthday.....
Mom said smile. You were feeling a little naughty and used some sign language instead. I blurred it out for the children.
On your way to a fun lunch with mom.
Some of the things that you love:
- Smiles and more smiles! We all love these.
- Me. Well I assume. You let me lick you whenever I want.
- Bouncy seat! This is the second best invention next to the Rock 'n Play (aka your bed). This allows mom to cook, EAT, clean, sit.
- The Tula carrier. You love to be near mom, as do I. So when she wears you, you typically love this. Although you have been known to scream your ass off a couple of times on her before you pass out. That's annoying.
- The vacuum. Go figure because I hate it.
- Being held.
- Songs, books, black and white pictures.
- Doing laundry
Some of the things you hate:
- 435. Not the time, the highway. Apparently it's too long. Lately you've simply hated that stretch of road. Makes mom sweat.
- Tummy time. I can't wait for the day that I say you love this. Then it won't seem like we are torturing you 2-3 times a day. Brutal.
- Being put down very often.
- Taking naps longer than 30 minutes in your crib. As I type this now you are sleeping in there. I'm assuming I have one more line to type before you let me know I'm done.
- Long walks. Uh, this is going to a be a problem you're going to need to fix. (And no joke, you are now crying in your crib. I'm really not lying).
Some of the things I love:
- You
- Licking you
- Your bath time
- Mom and dad
- Long walks (deal with that)
Some of the things I hate:
- Your short naps
- When you cry
- The Fed-Ex guy
- The doorbell
- When you scream
Phew! Now that we got the logistics out of the way, lets take a look at you this past month!
This picture sums up what you love to do most. Smile. It's the best part of any day.
While this month has a lot to celebrate, we also experienced some sadness. Your great grandpa Jerry passed away. He was a very nice, caring, and smart man and we know he would've loved you. Here you are celebrating his life with all the Smith's.
Too much celebrating for you. The Baby Whisperer put you to sleep. That's what Grandpaw does best!
You got to meet some new family members this month.
Uh, who invited this guy?
You began to master the smiling for the camera. See, you're learning from me each day.
You and your homegirl, Nora also got to attend the annual SFT Walk-A-Thon.
We put you in Tummy Time Boot Camp! Mom tried all different ways to help you get neck control. Of course I was there every step of the way to cheer you on.
And look at the progress you made from boot camp!! We were so proud of you!
Another thing you started to love was laundry. Mom said if the sports didn't work out for you then she was at least raising an awesome housewife.
You also like to snuggle and pass out with those you love the most.
You're still going strong in swim class. Dad said you may not have the athletic gene but you sure are pretty.
We like to read during the day too. These books make you smile. Probably because mom sings to you. And it's loud and bad.
Oh this month you also visited a winery. Don't judge. You'll understand in 30 years. But not before that.
To finish up this month you saved a growth spurt for us to experience. This is not so fun. You've started fussing during times you normally do not, and you tend to want to be held ALL THE TIME. This ain't cool sister. Mom got her weekly email from the upteen blogs she follows and it was titled "Congrats! You're out of the woods and in to the fun part!" False. But we will be with you until you spurt out of it and get back to happy-go-lucky Charlotte:) No matter what, we love you to pieces. You make my day each morning I come to check on you and you are sucking your fists and just smiling. Happy three months sister.
Love,
Nelson
PS- Okay so I started this post a couple of days ago and then finished it today. I don't want to jinx anything, but you had a fantastic three month birthday. I need to redact my comments about the growth spurt, hating long walks, and hating 435. You nailed all those today. You're a keeper.
