Crawling Conundrum

Well you started to become more mobile this week!  Mom and dad were for sure you weren't going to crawl....and we can't 100% confirm that to be true yet, but I for one think you are almost there!  You can crawl....just backwards.  So you get a tad ticked when you are actually moving AWAY from your intended target.  You are just SO close sister!  You get up on all fours, reach, and then flatten.  As Nanny Lisa says "rinse, lather, repeat" this process.  Just within the last couple of days you started the up on all fours, reached, and then were able to go back to sitting.  You also realized you could get somewhere but do so backwards.  This has worked well, until you hit a wall and the wide-load behind you can't sit up (watching your confusion in this is rather comical).  And just this morning when you only woke up two times (this was a huge improvement from the 3-5 times on average), mom came in and you yet again, were on all fours but stuck in the corner of your crib.  You sure looked cute trying to escape though!  We think you were trying to sleep like mom, on your side, but you couldn't figure out a happy median between your back and stomach (and we all know stomach sleeping is NOT an option to you).  After several attempts on this, you finally figured out how to balance that body.

I just can't believe how much you have changed in the last week!  My prediction is you will crawl on your 9 month birthday.
